Wrap up with Christmas Jumpers

It’s that time of the year again, jingle bells and lights are all over town! While some of us is shopping for fancy Christmas party outfits, others are hunting the perfect Christmas jumper to wrap up.

Christmas jumpers are all about being cosy and comfortable. And at this time of the year we can’t really spare the warmth power of an extra layer!

One thing must be said, no one wants to spend a fortune in a jumper full of snow flakes and reindeer,  it is cute and all, but it’s extremely seasonal, so you wouldn’t get enough wear out of it.

But not buying an expensive Christmas jumper doesn’t mean that you can’t get a cool one! For our luck, Penneys and Dunnes always have great cost Vs. value options available during the festive season.

I’ve just got myself a very cute cardigan, to do my 12 pubs this weekend, with squirrels and snow flakes all over, at Penneys for only 16 euros!

Styling Christmas jumpers can be quite tricky, they are usually very heavy printed and colorful, so my tip is to keep it simple, match with denim pants and boots, converses or New Balances! You can always have a shirt under it (make sure you have the collar over the jumper!).

If you want to dress it up a bit more, you can match with a skirt (pleated, A-line or midi-pencil) and have tights and heavy socks with nice boots!

It doesn’t matter if you rather it girly or tomboy, getting a Christmas jumper is a MUST in december!

Spiked Ballerinas and Mustache Loafers

November 14th, 2012 by Daphne Lopes

I’m going to start today’s post with a big apology to all my beloved readers, I haven’t been the best feeding the blog recently! But I have a great excuse: I just accepted a great job offer and I’ve been all over the place with my timetable.

On my new work I have to be really dressy at all times, but I couldn’t bare wearing heels all day, so I started hunting for dressy, expensive looking flats.

After visiting all shops on Grafton St during my lunch time, I wasn’t really convinced to buy anything, but when I entered Zara (I should really get paid for mentioning them in all my posts…) I found the perfect pair of spiked ballerinas. They are very expensive looking, stylish and comfortable, exactly what I need for work!

This spiked ballerinas can be worn with everything from a dress to my casual black jeans. I feel that everything I put with them, just looks instantly cool!

I decided to have a look around (even though I had found what I needed) and I ended up finding this amazing pair of velvet loafers! They are simply gorgeous, the mustache is a great add on to the loafer, so even though I shouldn’t be shopping for more shoes, somehow I decided that Movember was a good enough reason to purchase another pair of shoes (as if I needed any reason).

Arson Boots

Recently I posted on my instagram about the Arson Boots from Topshop and I can assure by the number of likes many girls went crazy for them!

I had a think about it before buying, but I could not resist long enough! Finally I put my hands on them, and I couldn’t be any happier with my blue arson.

They are comfy and way too stylish. The velvet on them- that was my biggest concern – is the softest ever and the Python bit on the very front  is super cool.

The finishing is much better than average Topshop shoe (and it really impressed me…).

Being a cow-girl was never so hype!

Mister Perfect

mister perfect givenchy eraser make-up pen miracle product review

I am not a big believer when it comes to beauty products reviews but Mister Perfect Instant Make-up Eraser by Givenchy is perhaps one of the most mazing things I’ve ever tried.

Mister Perfect is a “make-up remover pen”  and it is the ultimate answer to small make-up mistakes such as flicks, eyebrows and lipstick.

Cotton buds are still good and cheap, you don’t need to let them go. But when precision is needed the thin end on Givenchy’s miracle-pen is the answer for your prays.

Most of people that follow me on twitter or that are on our Facebook probably already heard about my concern regarding my dehidrated skin.

I never had any problems with my skin that always pretty much a Combination Skin but since March my skin has been dehydrated mainly on the cheeks (where I actually had actual peeling because of dehydration) and around my eyes. It was so bad that all the make-up i put over just looked terrible and crackled.

I’ve been trying many products such as face and eye creams from thousands of brands but there are only two things that are really making the difference: Thermal Water (La Roche Posay  €9.50) and Toner (No.7 €9.99).

I’ve been using the toner over a week now and the results are immediate, it is really gentle and I could feel my skin getting hydrated but the Thermal Water was a miracle. My friend Rachel Grossman told me about this product and I had to test! She was definitely right! As soon as the Thermal Water touched my skin I felt fresh, moisturized and hydrated.

You can use before make-up, during the day when your skin feel dry and  before sleep.

I don’t know how could I live without the Thermal Water before!!!

About the nail polishes I’ve only bought the french manicure kit and a burgundy nail polish! I must say Rimmel is my favorite brand for nail polishes!
